Ukraine is currently being attacked by Russia and the BBC goes with… finding some way to make Ukrainian’s out as racist?
I think the interesting take on Human Nature is that in the stress of invasion, with everyone rushing to either defend or escape to safety, people still have the time to stop and be horrible to each other. Brown, Yellow, White or Black, if someone is trying to get out of the war zone, you F*CKING LET THEM OUT! For God’s sake.
I see the BBC finally found some non white people they could actually fully sympathize with.
In a European war being fought almost exclusively by white people.
Tragic stuff. The whole world is behind the Ukraine right now, and rightfully so.
But its important that like all countries they have their share of problems. None of which could ever justify what Putin is doing to their country certainly. But to pretend they don’t exist is foolish.
I sure hope these people find areas manned by more reasonable individuals and are able to escape the chaos like all the other refugees.

The title and article are a lie, Ukraine is prioritizing Ukraine citizens, this has been stated many times and is borne out by all non manipulated accounts. Falsly accusing someone of racism is racism in itself.

If you can’t wrap your mind round why that might be the priority for the people of Europe then I really don’t know what to tell you.
It’s fucking absurd that we are supposed to prioritize every conflict and war on every continent equally otherwise I and my fellow white Europeans(presumably non white Europeans get a free pass) are somehow racists if we don’t.
And if we dare forget that fact then BBC articles like that one are here to remind us.
How many Ukranian refugees are Africa and the Middle East taking in?
Because that number is going to be close to zero does that mean they don’t give a shit about helping white people fleeing war?
Are they in fact racist for not doing so?
After all Europe has absorbed plenty of black and brown people fleeing wars on those continents.
Millions in fact.
And yet I don’t expect them to absorb one Ukrainian refugee. And I will never call them racist for not doing so.
What I would like is for the press and some of those on the left to extend Europeans the same courtesy when it comes to our behaviour especially at this time.
