1. President-elect Donald Trump mocked Prime Minister Justin Trudeau overnight as the “governor” of the “Great State of Canada” after recently warning of potential tariffs on the country.

   “It was a pleasure to have dinner the other night with Governor Justin Trudeau of the Great State of Canada,” Trump wrote in a post on his Truth Social account just after midnight Tuesday. “I look forward to seeing the Governor again soon so that we may continue our in depth talks on Tariffs and Trade, the results of which will be truly spectacular for all!”

   Neither the Trump transition team nor Trudeau’s office immediately responded to requests for comment

23. I don’t think statehood would ever happen, it’s just too controversial of an idea.

    I do think there needs to be more discussion about an economic/defense union that doesn’t include Mexico. Canada would remain politically independent, all citizens of Canada/USA could work in either country and if working in Canada qualify for health care. Canada would adopt the US dollar. American and Canadian regulations could be harmonized for efficiency, and if any company wants to invest or operate in either country, they are treated like a domestic company. Remove all duties and tariffs for trade between the two countries. Canada’s military could more closely integrate with the Americans as well, building joint bases all around the Arctic to better defend North America.

    Solves most of the issues for both countries, and much less controversial.

28. More deeply, this is a condemnation of American education which has left tens of millions of adults with childlike maturity. They like Trump because he acts this way. His behavior mirrors their on immature behavior.
