This is over ten times faster than the world’s fastest train (the MagLev in ~~Japan~~ China, which goes at 268mph). The current land speed record is 763mph. Concorde could do London to New York in a little under three hours, at a cruising speed of 1,341 mph.
So, I’d say that this proposal would be a little far-fetched.

But that’s a big fuck off rocket that would probably kill everyone on board when it fires to accelerate to Mach 5 and achieve 3700 miles distance in one hour.

Image building an underground train from London to Lowestoft. That place on the coast. According to Google maps the distance is app. 130 miles. So you could be in London in 2 minutes. On average houses in Lowestoft were sold last year for GBP 167k. Imagine: cheap housing and working in London.
Or Boston (that place above Kirton). Average housing price GBP 115k. 140 miles from London. You could be there in 3 minutes.
