  1. Ukrainian children are suffering from uncontrollable tics, speech defects and developing grey hair as a result of the stress of war, humanitarians on the ground have warned.

As the war in Ukraine nears its three-year anniversary, children are suffering from extreme nightmares and screaming in their sleep.

Case workers from Save the Children have recorded at least five children aged eight to 16-years-old who live in Kharkiv – which is close to the frontline and subjected to regular bombing attacks – who have developed grey hair, with doctors attributing this to the war and the extreme stress it’s causing the children.

An average of 16 children have been killed or injured every week in Ukraine, according to Unicef.

Nearly a third of Ukraine’s population – including 1.4 million children – are estimated to be at risk of, or are already living with, mental health conditions due to the war, Save the Children said.

An estimated 600,000 students have also been unable to attend school in person since the war began, with four million children having their educated disrupted.

Many children have seen their family members killed in front of them, been separated from their parents during evacuations, or stepped on landmines leaving them with life-changing injuries, the charity said.

  2. I’ve heard of this happening to adults who were in horrible accidents. But never kids omg

  3. War is hell. Ukrainians will bear the scars of this war for generations.

The war does not just end and very thing is back to normal.

  4. Seen this in almost every one of the Ukrainian refugee children my family are helping here in Finland. In stressful situations they start to stutter easily, especially the ones from cities that see daily bombings & drones. Sad to see. One of the many reasons why my blood starts boiling whenever the russian and maga trolls start speaking about “too much tax money to Ukraine” and blabla

  5. So much damage caused by one man. It will be a great day when Putin is dead!

  6. I started with gray hair in my mid 20s and I’m 35 now. I have a half a head of gray hair and I live under American stressers daily. Slava Ukraine 🇺🇦 🇺🇸

  7. Anyone else remember that photo from after ww2 where that little girl was asked to draw home and she drew a bunch of scribbles whilst thousand yard staring into the camera? Yeah were gonna see alot more of that.

  8. I received refugees as a social worker back when the war started. Already then children, waiting for us to process their parents, were surrounded by toys and not playing.

Saw a group of five 3-5 year olds simply just sitting and looking at the toys and each other. Broke my heart.

  9. Not only the ukranians in Ukraine will have these problems. Also the people that went to other countries will surely suffer of Ulisses Syndrome. A lot of refugees have that. The more time you are somewhere else, the bigger the chances are.
