The opposite side of the paper is written in German, and the other paper with it is about Dataschutzinformation (data protection). This seems like a scam.

  1. Once received it from city council and it was completely in german.

  2. Might be legit, but as personal experience never ever send anyone personal data especially when it is voluntary. Just throw it in the garbage bin.

  3. IAB is the research center of the Federal Employment Agency. They regularly conduct surveys like this one. It’s legit.

  4. What’s the scam?

Obviously I wouldn’t just blindly type the address into a browser or scan that qr code, but you can simply look them up and see if they’re legit or not.

If you encounter any questions you don’t wanna answer, just close the form or skip, if possible.

  5. It is a legit request for your participation in a scientific study. It is up to you if you want to do it.

  6. IAB is legit, and at least the URLs look legit, content-wise. It’s hosted differently than the main website, but that’s not something that should come as a surprise, depending on how they’re organized.

  7. I got it last week. I did the survey and got a €10 ikea coupon.

The questions weren’t really invasive or uncommon for this type of research.
