Returning Lebanese find destroyed homes and razed neighbourhoods among rubble • FRANCE 24 English

In Lebanon, thousands of displaced people began returning to their homes this week after a ceasefire was announced between Israel and the Hezbollah militant group. Many found their homes reduced to rubble after intense Israeli airstrikes over the past two months leveled entire neighbourhoods in eastern and southern Lebanon, as well as the southern suburbs of Beirut. Nearly 1.2 million people have been displaced.

  1. Now that the Lebanese citizens are seeing the damage Hezbollah wrought, time for them to stand up, demand their disarmament, and support a strong Lebanese government who will ensure Hezbollah doesn't do the same thing all over again for their own selfish aims, contrary to what the vast majority of Lebanese want.

  2. Lebanones should have prevented these destruction if they protested against Hezbollah unprovoked war against isreali since October 8th last year, but refused to talk to Hezbollah to stop. Now this is the repercussions

  3. Lebanese should be thankful most of their neighborhoods are still standing unlike Gaza when they actively support Hizbollah

  4. MEMRI TV was showing an interview of an academic on Lebanese TV. He was stating that this was not Lebanon's war and that they should live in peace with Israel (like Jordan or Egypt) and that Lebanon should get rid of Hezbollah. The interviewer couldn't hide her total disbelief, as if he had stated that a cruise ship could sail across the Sahara desert. If you think about it, given the effect of the Palestinian propaganda in the West, just think about its effect in the Middle East where it has been incessant for decades.
