For the first time (I was thinking to do it a few years ago 😅). As a Costa Rican.

  1. Course they are, they are the best, they are really called Welsh cakes… but wales cakes will do too :).

  2. Never heard them called Wales Cakes before lol

Look alright. Could do with a sprinkle of sugar

  3. They look delicious! They’re even better sprinkles with fresh extra caster sugar!

  4. Very nice! Dda iawn i ti!

Sprinkle a dusting of caster sugar on em and you have a oerfect rendition of Welsh Cakes / Pice ar y Maen. 😁

  5. Ooh they look good. Have them warm with some real butter spread on them

  6. My mum used to work in a restaurant in Llangollen and made welsh cakes for loads of local businesses. During the school holidays, i used to help her (theres something very satisfying about emptying multiple kilo bags of dried fruit into a huge mixer). I miss welsh cakes now we live in scotland and mum refuses to make them most of the time snd i just can’t get the knack!

Da iawn for your efforts and enjoy them, they look delicious

  7. Those look absolutely stunning. Got a craving for them now.

  8. They look mint, even though the name is unsettling.

Out of interest, do you have a full England for breakfast?

  9. Would you call them pasteles gales or tortas galesas ( or something else)?

  10. Brilliant and far better without the sugar all over them.
