6. The government doesn’t HAVE to be secular, so long as it supports the rights of others to believe and more importantly NOT believe in other gods. Woman’s rights are a must for any society to advance. And terrorism makes it easier to rejoin the club and start trading.
   I really hope for the sake of the Syrian people this happens. The wild card is now Turkey and the Kurds.

    If I were them, I’d wait to talk until January when Trump is inaugurated and try cozing up to him behind the scenes right now.
