If i was him and Id knew I would be executed if i didnt go I would go to the war. Before you get mad here is what i think: I think I would like to live a little longer and you know atleast go to war for a little bit until you die. Thats just my opinion. just a historic reminder that WW1 , similar to this war in the fact that new technology redefined how war was fought and resulted in trench warfare and horrendous casualty rates, only stopped when the German empire was on the brink of total collapse and civil war.
to bring russia down to that level, with the mindset they have, being used to deject suffering , total apathy towards what the government does, the propaganda and an absolute void in terms of a domestic opposition party …i dont think it will even be a consideration for another what…5 years? a decade?

I do not understand how the russian military, or russians in general for that matter, functions. If I was a soldier in conditions like that and know that they will kill me for not complying with them I would just frag my own the second they gave me a weapon. Sure you may kill me but I’m taking you with me.
Like fragging was at least somewhat common for the American military in Vietnam and I would wager the conditions for soldiers then is leaps and bounds better than most of the current russian invaders.
