    I wonder what other way there would be. If we finally accept that Orban is our enemy and threat to our freedom, can we perhaps sanction Orban?

    He thrives thanks to our weakness. He should be dealt with as an enemy. What if we kidnapped him and imprisoned him? Assasination with some plausible deniality?

    The biggest problem of EU is that we play nice with guy who would be happy to see us all die. Dictators like him understand only strenght, and we should finally show some.

  10. What on earth is the EU waiting for before it takes seriously the fact that Hungary is a Russian proxy state festering and sickening the entire EU and degrading its cohesion? Let Hungary fall to Russia if that’s how we can save the rest of Europe. Losing one country versus a whole continent – it’s really not much of a question. Do something already.

  13. I have not followed the situation with Georgian officials, but if Hungary is vetoing that: I am in favor of the sanctions.

  28. Orban is obviously using his position as a conduit for advancing Russian interests within the EU, and it’s tearing them apart from the inside.

    If the EU wants to take Russia seriously it’s past time to suspend Hungary membership in the EU until Orban is no longer in power.
