Great news. I wasn’t able to secure a good seat this past weekend. Now I have a second chance!
Didn’t this come out a decade ago?
Saw it this weekend after not getting the change to see it in theatres originally. 10/10.
I vastly prefer this to remakes. Just rerelease the old movie. People will come.
Saw this in IMAX when it came out and it is definitely the way to see it!
I’m going tonight!
With re-election of Trump, people have renewed interest in “getting the hell out of here”!
This weekend I’m seeing Queer
Oh God, I would love to see this in Imax so much. It blew my mind on a television.
I uncontrollably said “wow” when the camera panned up on the wave on the water planet. Truly breathtaking on IMAX and one of the best cinema experiences in recent memory.
When god damn it?!?!?
It was Transcendant seeing it in IMAX
I’ve seen that movie a dozen times. Seeing it in IMAX was just phenomenal. The music, the rumbling bass during burn maneuvers, the imagery of the tiny speck of ship coasting just above saturn’s rings, all of it. It got a round of applause in my showing. My 14 yo son who rarely gives more than a shrug and a monosyllabic response to anything was actually talking after the movie! Talking! Saying it was a really good movie, etc. He gets fired up about *nothing*, but practically waxed poetic about the film.
Popped my IMAX cherry to this. Unreal.
I can’t bring myself to go back to this trash.
We went Friday in IMAX and it was still spectacular 10 years out. It is a timeless piece. The music and imagery are breathtaking. I have seen it dozens of times but the lady in front of me was for sure a first timer cause she gasped when the airlock blew. It was great.
I was always surprised when our imax only had relatively new movies and maybe a big hit like Finding Nemo seemed to stay there for years
I would assume imax would be out of the current zeitgeist and focus more on curating “here’s x amount of movies that look cool as fuck on a big screen”
