Hello, is this too high? I'm sure the warm water use is high, but I'm not sure about the heating.

For reference: 1 person, 30sqm 2 room Attic apartment on 7th floor (1 kitchen, 1 bedroom). No neighbours on any side except one where I share a wall with the neighbouring building. I basically have only residual heating from the apartment directly below me. 2 radiators (1 bedroom (kept at 3, dialed down to 1.5 when I leave for work), 1 kitchen (kept at 1.5). I'm doing Luften twice in a day for like max 3 mins since the wind is so strong when I open the windows the cross circulation is nearly instant.

Also any tips on how to cut down on heating costs without actually changing apartments? Someone recommended getting a heated blanket and just wearing warm clothes…

  1. That is the problem with attic places in germany. Often the buildings are rather old and the insulation is crap. Your place will lose a lot of heat towards the outside and since you have no neighbours you will have to heat a lot to compensate.

There is not much you can do about it. Just wear warmer clothes, keep the room temperatur at 22°C only and turn off your heater when you open the windows for 3min.
