  1. It’s honestly just a shame this topic has become so heavily politicised. Regardless of one’s stance on trans issues, reading up on the Cass Report it seems there are some serious flaws in the methodology these decisions are based on. Even the BMA (British Medical Association) called for an [investigation ](https://www.bma.org.uk/bma-media-centre/bma-to-undertake-an-evaluation-of-the-cass-review-on-gender-identity-services-for-children-and-young-people)into it.

  2. Oof! Does that mean Boris Johnson will reach puberty in the next couple of years?
    Scary thought!

  3. Gotta dabble in a culture war for no reason to keep being elected apparently just so sad

  4. We all know puberty blockers are also used for medical issues besides trans care. Do we? We do, right?

  5. Thank god,I’m sure the britons can sleep easy at night knowing that this pressing issue has been taken care of and those evil dysphoric minors are kept safe from the recommended and reversible treatment.

  6. Our economy is holding together by string, people are choosing between food and heating and this is what we’re prioritising? I would say that I don’t get why a fraction of the population is being targeted this relentlessly but we all know exactly why.

  7. I’m a trans woman and I’m way out of puberty.

The fact the existence of people like me has become THE political tool is so sad. It is scientifically proven that we, in fact, are real and not some kind of mentally ill people. We are people just you and we are tired of being a scapegoat for literally everything.

No politician should be able to veto something like this. Medical professionals and maybe the parents should be the only people with a say besides the patient.

But no.. it’s just easier to blame 0.6% of the population (Bundesamt für statistik; Germany) for anything that goes wrong in our society. You know when that happened the last time?

In the 1930s. We all know what happened after.

    I’m tired.

  8. Crazy how all the comments supporting the ban are getting nuked, fuck this censorship.

  9. Isn’t medical procedure for minors a thing between the hospital, the doctor, the child, and the family members? Why would the government prioritize these things instead of things like economy, education, and social welfare???

  10. Yet somehow liberals and progressives will be blamed for playing identity politics when they push back on this.

Why not just let people get the healthcare they need?

  11. All you that support this, just know you are supporting something that has proven to cause trans youth suicides to rise. You aren’t magically making these under 18’s not trans.

  12. Denying the safest and most effective life saving/improving treatment for trans children for the sake of a political scapegoat from the rich destroying our lives and futures, all using the excuse of a shitty politically-motivated debunked “scientific” report. This is pathetic and disgusting.

  13. Nonsense culture wars that nobody benefits from. Fkc this sht

  14. Yes the issue has become politicized, but that in large part is due to this issue moving from being a private and personal medical decision to something that is jammed down our throats at work and school.
