Phil Collin’s is an Alamo buff and he enjoys collecting Alamo paraphernalia. That said I’ve heard he does some drumming.
Anyone who only knows his solo work and genesis’ radio hits should really check out his work with Brand X (and Peter Gabriel era genesis, but that’s more of an acquired taste) He really was a phenomenal drummer in his prime.
Collins helped bring us gated reverb, the defining drum sound of the early 80s.
“A Hot Night in Paris” is one of my favorite albums of all time. It’s been 25 years and I love it more than ever.

Dislike his later pop work all you want, but that motherfucker could *drum*. I saw Genesis in the late 70s, he and Chester Thompson, their touring drummer, brought the fucking house down.
Very entertaining as a singer, too.
One of a handful of concerts/artists I regret not seeing live back in the day.
