  1. I’ve been wondering about this topic. How is he going to live in exile? Who pays for it? What is he going to do now? (All or mostly answered by the article.)

    I’ve heard of how tightly Ferrari controls who gets their cars, so how does this wealthy community of authoritarians get theirs to sell to their dictatorial clients?

    I wonder how the economic sanctions affects their lifestyle. Or do they simply have enough money and connections to cover getting almost any material comfort they want, even if exorbitant for us ordinary folk?

    So what do these people do for the rest of their lives? That they live in opulent comfort just sucks. I’d like to imagine them becoming bored AF and just becoming spoiled rotten in their decadence, but that’s copium even if it happens.

    And what will happen to them and their families once Putin is gone? While I consider Putin passing away soon and solving all these problems wishful thinking, the fact _is_ that he will still ultimately prove mortal.

  8. Assad has enough money to not need to worry about financing his remaining days. He needs to worry more about spending his remaining days in Russia, staying safe from international authorities and keeping his money from international prosecution secret so he can use it.

  15. Basically, he is just paying Assad back for being his prostitue for so many years. This gives an image to his other fascist friends that they will have a life carved out for them in Russia if they don’t question his authority and they do as he pleases.
