Oberammergau has a long tradition in woodworking. It borders the areas where Krampus is “active” but also the area where the Alemannic Fastnacht is celebrated which also has a tradition of wooden masks of devils, witches and other mystical creatures. So it really could be both or just an interesting artwork that is inspired by either.

Yeah surely looks like one, they take quite a lot of time to make so it should be worth quite something
You need to add a hood to it and wear it. Krampuslaufen are a lot of fun.
