Would this be considered a Krampus mask ? My parents picked this up in Oberammergau around 1949. Thx

1. Yeah surely looks like one, they take quite a lot of time to make so it should be worth quite something

2. You need to add a hood to it and wear it. Krampuslaufen are a lot of fun.

4. Oberammergau has a long tradition in woodworking. It borders the areas where Krampus is “active” but also the area where the Alemannic Fastnacht is celebrated which also has a tradition of wooden masks of devils, witches and other mystical creatures. So it really could be both or just an interesting artwork that is inspired by either.
