Russia could give Bulgaria free gas as payment, that would be very useful in winter.
Please do it. The sooner the better! 👍
… we do? cool
I see some commenters saying cool to this, what is gonna be cool is lots of people’s homes, you aint fucking over Vucic(you are making his stance stronger) or Putin with this you are fucking over regular people.
Also radicalising right leaning serbians and making them more anti west, afterwards you can ask yourself why do we have such a huge percentage of Eurosceptic people in Serbia.
Way to go Bulgaria! Downside, if you actually do that,is that you won’t be able to walk right with those big b*lls hanging out.( South park pun intended)
Just do it.
Sounds a bit misleading, the title makes it sound as if Bulgaria has problems with Serbia or some kind of bad relationship, while in fact, the problem is with a Russian company not paying for the gas transit fees.
The title confused me for a second since I know that the relationship with Bulgaria is relatively good but it seems to be more between Bulgaria and Russia
>Bulgaria could cut the transit of Russian natural gas through its territory to Serbia **if Gazprom Export does not find a way to pay for this transit without the participation of US-sanctioned Gazprombank**, said caretaker Energy Minister Vladimir Malinov on December 10.
This has nothing to do with politics in Serbia at the moment(and it would be incredibly stupid of Bulgaria to meddle in internal Serbian politics in the first place)
Apparently Bulgaria grew some pair
Please do it.
I dont know what is the strategic value of this move, I am Bulgarian too
For our neighbours to the west:
Ain’t nothing against you. Russia needs to find a sanction free way to pay their transit bills. And we ain’t a charity service, not after they cut our gas when we declined to pay in rubles back in april 2022.
Also, Slava Ukraini.
Since the US has sanctioned Russian oil energy group Gazprom, which facilitates the payments of transit.
Gazprom and Gazprom Neft own a combined 55% share of Serbia’s national gas company, NIS.
Nice try, but we will preserve good relations with Bulgaria 👋🇷🇸

Man, I think it’s a bit of a dick move to Serbia.
“The Bulgarian Ministry of Energy said that their operator has received all payments due at the moment, and that “there is still time” for settlements, since American sanctions will take effect on December 20. Yushkov (financial expert under the Government of the Russian Federation) was surprised by the “threat” of the Bulgarians, as he recalled that Bulgaria did not switch to a ruble settlement with the Russian Federation in 2022, and Gazprom does not necessarily have to pay it through Gazprombank.
“Bulgaria’s claims are not entirely clear, and what does Gazprombank have to do with it? Because Bulgaria has not switched to the ruble settlement system since 2022, when the President of the Russian Federation decided to switch to all unfriendly companies. And in fact, nothing changed for foreign companies back then. They paid in dollars and euros, and they continue to pay. But then the presidential decree said that now it is necessary to transfer this money to Gazprombank. In the media, it was a very loud story that Russia seems to be demanding something, and it is necessary to resist this. At that time, the Bulgarians were clearly under pressure, so they already refused a direct contract with Gazprom and for all these two years they have been buying Russian-origin gas in the same way, but through traders. Gazprom pays Bulgaria to carry out transit. And what difference does it make to Bulgaria how he pays him? Gazprom is not obliged to pay through Gazprombank,” he explained.”
OP is an Albanian who is OBSESSED with the Serbs. Jesus Christ we are rent free in their small heads.
Ah, OP is the champion of anti-Serbian propaganda on this sub, and this maliciously written headline proves it (if past posts haven’t).
But the comments here, dear god…
Shows you people don’t even need an excuse to hate Serbia, and ordinary Serbian people. Jesus.
EDIT: …and the article isn’t even about Serbia.
