Lithuanian broadcaster LRT has announced the 45 artists and song titles that will compete in the 2025 edition of Eurovizija.LT.
Many names are back for another shot at Eurovision glory, including two returnees: Ieva Zasimauskaitė represented her country in 2018 and Vilija represented Lithuania in 2014. Also on the list are some acts from previous editions of Eurovizija.LT including Queens of Roses (2017, 2019, 2022), Petunija (2016, 2020, 2023) and Donata (2012, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2023). One other name to watch closely is Gebrasy who almost pipped The Roop at the post in 2021 with his ballad Where`d You Wanna Go?
There is a significant upgrade to this year’s contest, as Eurovizija.LT is moving to the 20,000 capacity Žalgiris Arena. There will be five heats and a final held over a six week period. In each heat will be nine acts and two songs from each heat will go into the final. The voting will be a 50 / 50 split with voting and jury, however in the final, it will be 100% public vote who gets to choose the 2025 Lithuanian entry.
