  1. I’d say this is as depressing as it gets, but Qatar was a new low even for FIFA.

    The 2034 bid process was a complete farce, having 3 continents host in 2030 (which will be absolutely terrible) so that possible competitor bids could be lowered for 2034. [And it was expedited](https://theguardian.com/sport/2023/nov/09/saudi-arabia-fifa-world-cup-2034-football-australia-bid-response) so there was less time for competitors like Australia, who could’ve done a great one. Here’s hoping Saudi Arabia humiliate themselves on the sporting stage at least, just like Qatar

  2. I’d say I’m shocked but knowing how SA Operates especially as of late when it comes to “Sports Washing” I’d be lying.

    Also FIFA loves money and SA likes to hand out blank checks, when they feel like it anyway.
