Both diesel and petrol at the same price. €1.89. Never seen anything like that in my life

  1. The joys of living on a border town. Diesel is cheaper down your way and petrol is cheaper up here but with the state of the world at the moment, everywhere is abit shit on price

  2. Well if it makes u feel better : went to service my car and replace all breaks :320 euros in total . Was a good boy and filled up the tank before prices went crazy so another 80 euros on top. That was a week ago, didn’t drive it for long… the chain broke and now fixing it will be 1200 euros… for an 11 years old car … anyway Fuck those prices

  3. Went from Athlone to Cork today, passing through a ton of towns. Circle K always had the worst prices, 1.98€ tops (for both). Got diesel at Texaco Roscrea for 1.80€

  4. I’m very aware how much lower US gas prices are and have been compared to the rest of the Western world, it’s still astounding how much of a difference it is. I did the math and that’s $7.82/gal. There would be riots in the streets here if it were that high. For context, early this week I paid $3.59/gal (0.87€/L) and I saw it today for $3.75.

  5. How tf are y’all getting cheaper gas than me (yank) when you’re literally an island

Life is beginning to make a lot less sense

Edit: I forgot that not everyone uses gallons. Feel free to call me a dumbass

  6. Heating oil went up €20 for 300l overnight!
€438 I locked it at that price and checked it today €458!
    €349 in January

  7. Culmination of “The private sector” will always be cheaper, with lite or no government interference, proving the point. Just to negate any opposing opinion, can you explain why the price per barrel of crude oil (as in 2014) is dramatically different at the pumps today!

  8. What happens is, the price of oil drops but the price at the pump stays the same, price of oil goes up, so does the price at the pump.

  9. We need to drop the excise taxes for the duration of the war. Otherwise it’s just excacerbating the consequences on the people. Stick ’em back on when oil prices stabilise.

  10. €2.09 for 95 octane up here in Finland. We are in for a world of hurt. I hope people pull together in this crisis rather than heading the other way. Stay safe folks!

  11. I got back from Italy on Friday and it was 179.9 near me, went to fill up on sat and it had jumped to 195.9. How can they justify that much of an increase over night? It’s more than likely the same fuel in there tanks..

  12. I filled my car up on the 25th Feb for 1.65 a litre for diesel before travelling from Cork to wexford and back. I filled it up last night for 1.93 it went up almost 30c in just over a week. They can’t justify these increases, ireland is not a country set up for people to use public transport reliably. Maybe use this extra 30 cent to fund the public transport.

  13. Now the greedy makes huge profits coz all that fuel was bought to a low price .. the tanks in Rotterdam are full and they make now billions. Our government is just there to keep your head down and your mouth silent . If you protest – see COVID bullshit- the will beat your protest down. They call that democracy and you are voting for that puppets of the finance capital.

  14. Heavy oil / diesel takes more energy to distill than gasoline, so it will eventually end up more expensive.
