I find it weird that Malta is so gay friendly but they ban abortion… for me it seems to be weird that they are progressist on one issue and very backward on another.

In practice gay men have a fucking hard time becoming parents. The judicial system is stacked against us, adoption agencies do not want us, some surrogacy clinics do only accept straight couples (or lesbians I just learned), the ones that do accept us do so very reluctantly.
It’s fine to be gay as long as you’re not a man who wants children. Then you’re a third class citizen.
(And let’s not forget homelessness and suicide, which overaffect lgbt people, and over which our governmentsss do fuck all)
