Morning Joe hosts Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough drew criticism from many and praise from some for visiting President-elect Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago. Following that announcement thousands of viewers stopped watching the show. The timing couldn’t have been worse. Parent company Comcast is to spin off a portfolio of cable networks that include MSNBC and CNBC. We speak to Variety’s Senior TV Editor Brian Steinberg.

  2. They lost their way. I'm sure they must know that they would have been on the frontlines of the RESISTANCE. Their viewers EXPECTED them to be. Part of a somewhat sane, fact checking moral high ground. What an utter disapointment they turned out to be. Long Live Rachel Maddow.

  15. What greater testimony is there than Comcast bundling all the cable channels up (MSNBC, CNBC, etc.), and spinning them off into a separate company called "SpinCo" (a.k.a. We didn't even care enough to even give it a real name. Might have well been called 'Deadwood'.)
