Syria begins transfer of power, Assad’s prime minister hands reins to rebel leaders • FRANCE 24

Abu Mohammed al-Jolani, the Islamist leader who headed the offensive that forced Assad out, has begun talks on a transfer of power and vowed to pursue former senior government officials responsible for torture and war crimes. Ousted Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s prime minister said he had agreed to hand power to the rebel-led Salvation Government. Story by Carys Garland.

  10. I cannot believe the lies being told on western media. These people are not rebels but terrorists. Their leader used to behead westerners. Assad wasn't a good leader but he protected religious minorities including a Christian community older than any in Europe. How long will it take the western media to start being truthful once these terrorists start massacring and raping these people? The Syrian refugee crisis is going to worsen by order of magnitude. Syria has been the plaything of great powers since New Kingdom Egypt.

There’s a right wing movement who is slightly racist but in my personal life Syrians palestians Lebanese and my Saudi classmates in uni were all super nice. And Syrian girls are so pretty❤
