Question for Pope Francis, taking into consideration of the important history of Notre Dame Cathedral do you think that because of the modern stylizations eg,: no Sanctuary lamp, No Water font(s) when entering sacred space and acknowledging ones baptism by making the sign of the cross , no Tabernacle containing the saboreum, Blessed during Lent Pascal candle for Baptisms, no crusifix on or above the specially prepared altar. Do you think the Holy Spirit would consecrate the host or Eucharist given out to attendees?

11. I’m not a French citizen. Many detract from the fact & ignorant of the role the Cathedral has played in history, uniting the citizens, also in the Catholic faith. The Masses celebrated especially traditional are very religious experiences, I’ve felt. The guided tour by the Cathedral’s staff is inspiring & nothing touristy about it. I don’t agree with the Pope’s views on geo political, financial, open borders- refugees & his leftist ideology. Why he didn’t attend ???.

16. What is so surprising about the Pope not attending the reopening of the Notre Dame Cathedral?! Just because this is France or Paris, it is shocking that he is not attending. So are we supposed to be surprised too if he is invited to the opening of a new church in a poor place in Africa? Spare us the elitist, Euro-centric mentality. He is not attending because he is too busy and old to rub elbows with the elitists who attended the reopening. And it will be a shame if he attends and yet cannot visit the poor countries who wait for his visit. Notredame is one of my favorite churches in the world but I will not be happy seeing the pope making time to this reopening. It is a waste of time. He can do more important things than that.

The Archbishop of Paris is the key person in dedication of Notre Dame mass, not the Pope. See how long the Archbishop had to stand throughout the ritual of consecration. Congratulations to France.

Given the disgusting Satanic fiasco at the opening ceremony for the Paris Olympic Games and the organisers disrespect of Christianity, I can understand why the Pope should steer clear of the Notre Dame opening. Unfortunately Notre Dame is secular, it's owned by the state, and I feel sure that the Pope would have been advised to avoid the ceremony in case they decided to display any anti-Christian weird ritual. Had this happened, and the Pope attended, the media would have reported the Pope supported Satanic practices. On this occasion the Pope did the right thing.
