The whole country is corrupt and robbing hard working, honest people while allowing crooks to control government positions and put their snouts in the trough.
If you compare with the pre-2016 tax rates, tinduna li il-lower 25% tax bracket akkwistaw €100 tax benefit li sfortunatament dak li jaqghu taht il-higher 25% tax bracket tilfu.
in reality….this seems to have been a benefit introduced in the budget for 2016! it is explained in the budget speech [here](https://finance.gov.mt/en/The-Budget/Documents/The_Budget_2016/Budget_Speech_2016_en.pdf) at the bottom of page 15. I wonder if the fact that this was ignored is just lack of competence on both sides :S
