Authorities identify Iowa woman killed in head-on crash in Jasper County

A Lynnville woman has died following a crash in Jasper County, according to the Iowa State Patrol. The crash happened just before 4:30 p.m. Saturday in the 3200 block of Highway T-22, a crash report stated. Troopers said the driver of a box truck crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a pickup truck. A passenger in the pickup truck, 51-year-old Jill Van Dyke, was pronounced dead at the scene. The pickup driver was taken to MercyOne Medical Center in Des Moines; his condition was unknown as of Sunday morning.The box truck driver was not hurt, according to the crash report. It’s unclear if charges will be filed.
