  1. Post a link to it. Seeing the state that the south is in and alot of other European countries, I’m struggling to believe you.
People do support refugees coming here, but the lines drawn a bit when it’s not woman and children but just hoards of men in their 20’s/30’s.

  2. Oh I’m sure the comments here will be reasoned and well balanced

    ^and ^no ^brigading ^whatsoever

  3. I work with the homeless, asylum seekers, refugees, trafficking victims and other vulnerable adults. I’m surprised at this because I’ve learned to just say I work with the homeless because of the backlash I’ve received before.

  4. I think even the most moderate have questions around increases to migration levels. I’m a big advocate of new cultures driving societies forward but it has to be sustainable. Our infrastructure is in bad shape look at planning stalling due to NI Water’s assets being at capacity for example.

This isn’t the fault of asylum seekers, refugees or migrants, it’s the fault of underfunding, low productivity and blatant obstruction of measures which could have improved these factors (Brexit negotiations for example). But you guessed it the migrants will get the blame

  5. What was the survey size and demographic, because its not what I’ve heard when I’ve been out and about

  6. Those figures look suspect at best. No actual numbers, only percentages is a good way to bullshit.

What exactly where the questions asked, how did people get asked?

  7. You can’t have a balanced debate on refugees or immigration on this sub. Any centrist or right-wing opinion is down voted to oblivion.

I don’t believe for a second 2/3rds of people here support welcoming refugees.

  8. I like welcoming refugees, the other ones are just so negative and rude

  9. I absolutely believe it.

Extremists on either end are actually few and far between. It’s just that empty vessels make the most noise.

  10. Lol the subliminal propaganda to goad the masses into a specific train of thought hahahah.

  11. This is…. Surprising?

I think we can all universally agree, anecdotally, this cannot be true.

Who was the study carried out by and with?

  12. I think more people would accept asylum seekers/refugees if we thought that the majority were genuine.

Unfortunately I don’t believe even 90% of them are genuine.

  13. Hardly. It’s an invasion which is being allowed so we can be replaced due to our declining birthrates. That’s the real reason. There is no issue with refugees, but the current system is a joke.

  14. I am 100% pro-immigration, research shows that immigration is correlated with increase GDP and economic growth.

What i am against is how difficult the registration process is, and how limited immigrants are without proper documentation. Like how hard would it be to slap a high vis vest on someone and get them out litter picking, emptying bins, scrubbing pavements…

Something visible so people who are angry that they aren’t pulling their weight can see it, and something with no experience needed.

It’s far from ideal, and there are probably some human rights violations in doing that, but isn’t that better than them being confined to hotels where they aren’t allowed to be productive?

  15. Load of nonsense, while I agree we have our own lazy people who need a slap on the head, I don’t agree we allow a load of mainly loan males to come to the country and cost a fortune.
Yes, legal migration of those we need such as doctors etc, those who have worked for it then more power, but not any tom, dick or harry.

  16. Ask the same questions but swap refugees and asylum seekers with migrants, I guarantee you’ll get vastly different results

  17. These polls are inevitably wrong.

Why? Becaise most left wing people are very sure they are right so proud to give out their views. Most right wing people know they will get pilloried as evil so don’t.

Also you can’t ask a small group of people and have any idea.
