  1. Hungover from Merkels Wir Schaffen Das, patriots are now winning elections, borders are going up and Europe is divided, frustrated and angry.

  2. Four or five political parties dropped many of their candidates in the past round two of French elections to stymie LePen.

    This, which benefitted Macron, left him in the unenviable position of having to "herdcats" and nominate someone to be PM which that coalition would be happy with. But he brought it all upon himself with his snap elections.

  3. France is a bitterly polarized society. Economic downturn, political chaos and constitutional dysfunctionality is turbocharging the already fragile atmosphere as political extremism and urge for strong leadership is on the rise. But one question remains highly relevant amidst the turmoil. Has le pen brought down the government because of legal investigations against her?.
