  2. I’d have thought this was obvious to anyone living here.

    Occasionally foreigners have asked about a wailing sound, mostly as it disappeared promptly and they didn’t know from where it came.

    Getting a message on your mobile, even a test, can be more jarring until you’ve read it!

  5. I remember about 2.5 months ago they started dusting out the old air raid shelters in Kyiv and testing the air raid sirens. You should always be worried when governments get around to spending attention on these long forgotten things.
