Supply and demand maybe? At the beginning of the pandemic there was only a few suppliers of the antibody tests and the reagents required for PCR identification. Therefore the price for sourcing this stuff was very high as there was also limited numbers available. Cyprus does not have the industry to produce any of the required supplies.
Now there is bulk production worldwide and we purchase in bulk too.

If you read the article, this disgusting guy Adonis, said that this is fake news spread by SYRIZA. Then the journalist told him that we got this information from the Cypriot government and then he changed his mind and said that our tests are not reliable. In the evening he posted on twitter said that everything is okay with our tests.
Did he just tried to excuse the high prices of PCR tests in Greece by comparing them to ours and spreading lies?
Or is he just starved for attention once again?
