  1. >The Russia-Ukraine crisis has shown Boris Johnson that the EU is not the enemy, Putin is

If he really believed the former then he is a lot thicker than we assumed.

Mind you, Putin and his cronies have lots of filthy lucre, no wonder Johnson had his head turned.

  2. Expecting to see the defence budget of most of Europe jump up. Germany has already increased there budget massively, UK should follow suit.

  3. Oh don’t you believe it. The moment Putin has retreated back to his fortress their be back on the Anti-Eu campaign.

We just have to hope this war shifts the public’s mindset, coupled with all the damage Brexit has caused leads to people starting to get nostalgic for the good old days.

  4. The trouble for Boris is that he has made the EU his enemy and suddenly the guy who bankrolled him and made him PM has gone mad and is now the enemy of almost the entire planet.

  5. On 26 June 2017, it was reported that Holland & Barrett was sold for £1.8 billion to L1 Retail, a group controlled by Russian billionaire Mikhail Fridman

  6. Brexit was a Russian foreign policy objective.

Those that pushed Brexit knew this, and still took the money. They still drove an act of national sabotage supporting the aims of a hostile foreign power.

There needs to be a reckoning.

  7. Johnson knows the EU isn’t the enemy he was never ideologically against it. It was just the perfect opportunity to take power.

  8. Boris is the enemy.

    Wake up.

You know he has lied to you his entire career.

    Stop letting yourself be stupid.

  9. Anyone who sticks up for working class & the poor, is an enemy, as far as Boris & co are concerned. Don’t be fooled by that man. Anything he say’s or does, has an ulterior motive of helping the rich profit from it. No matter how small or great. If there’s a way the rich can capitalise on it, he’s for it. If not, then he’s not interested.

  10. Johnson knew Putin was a big threat in terms of war, he felt the EU was a bigger threat to his career and his plans to reform the UK to his own ideal. Even with that knowledge, he still preferred to cosy up to Putin as he seems to have believed Putin would never actually invade another country to the point of starting a war in Europe. Johnson, like many leaders, fell for Putin’s act and thought this would be another Cold War. Putin has called that bluff and now politicians are forced to admit they were wrong to let Putin get away with so much for too long.

  11. The Tories need someone to blame. They are in continuous conflict with someone so they have someone to blame. Things are never the fault of the Tories. It’s always the previous Labour government, or the EU etc.
The EU was never really the problem that the brexiteers made it out to be. It was just a catch all for the Tory failures.
And a regulatory brake on Tory greed.

  12. Sure does seem like a good point in history to be part of a unified Europe.

Good job Russia had nothing to do with the Brexit referendum, that would be very embarrassing for us.
