CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – UVA Health University Medical Center was ranked the number one hospital in Virginia.
This ranking comes from Newsweek’s Best-In-State Hospital 2025 list.
The list was based on several factors like accreditations, hospital quality metrics, and patient survey data.
“I think it’s a testament to the amazing team, The incredible community all coming together, caring for patients each and every day. You know, waking up, doing our very best and really at UVA. It’s the incredible teamwork of seeing everyone coming together Really care for that patient,” said University Medical Center CEO, Wendy Horton.
Along with being ranked top in the state, UVA Health was among the top 50 nationally.
