The worst part is the fire is almost out now. Inflation is down to historic averages. Real inflation is probably still high because CPI is a garbage number that excludes pretty much everything important, housing, energy, food etc. I mean they are in CPI just not in the number you always see thrown around to show inflation.

He should also have a blowtorch in his back pocket after he pressured the fed to keep rates insanely low before covid and then completely botched our response to it, making money printing the only available recourse and setting us up for years of inflation.
