Good to see Black Shuck on there .. there are a few different tales as to where he strolls .. but used to live in a coastal town and he was reputed to roam the beaches after a storm … just dont look into his eyes innit … never did see him …
I love how everything is mythological creatures or people then you’ve got “salmon of knowledge”
The Green Children of Woolpit were historical, probably the survivors of a massacre of Flemish immigrant weavers by a xenophobic English mob.
These would make for an awesome Fallout: NU-K game.
Aww, the Tizzie Whizzy doesn’t seem so bad.
Nice to see you updated this, and added the Lambton worm.
I’ve heard of a Knacker but what the hell is a Knucker? I’m from Kent and I’ve never heard of the fella.
No love for The Shug Monkey?
Haha. I don’t think I’ve seen him described as the Wrekin Giant before, though it’s hard to argue with it. The legend goes he accidentally created the Wrekin when giving up on drowning Shrewsbury, and then stormed off back home.
Ahhh love this. We need more celebration of our strange old myths and legends (that aren’t in massively expensive books that I’ve wanted for ages)
Is this for sale please? I would love to print, frame and display on the wall in my living room!
For no reason I feel the need to tell people that the Baobhan Sith is pronuced something like “Bavan-she”. I know because I was part of the team that did the music, sound effects and sound editing on a [low budget movie of the same name](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt4817046/).
I’ve seen the narwhal tusk and whale ribs. A completely bizarre composite legend.
Old stinker is real though… My mate dave saw him whilst walking back from spiders one night.
Sad to see Wales boiled down to two. Where’s Tegid the Afanc? Bwbachod, ader llwch gwin, y tylwyth têg, cewri, cwn annwn, Bendigeidfran (since you have non-animals in Ireland too)! And many many more-especially sad to see such general ignorance of their quite distinct culture
Does anyone know the original source of this image? Would be a nice gift for a foreign friend.
Wheres the Catman of Greenock?
This is Bucks panther erasure

Never knew the Celtic Sea was a thing. I always thought that body of water was just a mixture of the Irish sea and the Atlantic

Odd title change.
The “Nuckelavee” looks bloody terrifying.
Beast of Bodmin just wants some head pats

Please don’t just rip off artists like this, provide attribution – in this case, https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/PucaPrinthouse
