  1. Click bait?

Trump has said he wants to kill the EV tax credits, plus the “mandate” and NEVI funds — and repurpose everything into batteries and their minerals.

He’s all for the battery boom, it is EVs that chap his hide for some reason.

  2. Never Fear, Trump will declare it was ALL his doing.

  3. And as always, if something good happens during his reign, he will take credit for it no matter how hard he tried to kill it or stop it.

  4. “like it or not”, but there’s really nothing not to like. This is good for everyone.

  5. Trump wants coal-based cars and fast-food jobs for everyone.

  6. Presidents are nothing but PR for America that do what their daddy(corporate masters) says.

  7. Does any of that mean that there will be cars available here that are as cheap as China’s? How?

  8. Trump has already threatened the USPS with cancelling the Oshkosh EV contract. Moving to EVs is clearly a smart decision. I suspect USPS will be driving Teslas by the end of 2026.

  9. “Whether Trump likes it or not, he will oversee the great US battery boom.”

And he will claim all the credit for it even as he tries to destroy it.

  10. He is cutting the credits not putting a stop on EV cars. He doesn’t dislike EV. He just doesn’t think they should be subsidized and credits for purchasing them.

  11. Yessir keep those slaves mining that cobalt. Why have American oil when you can have a slave labor battery. We all know how much Democrats love slaves as evidence of the existence of the Democrat run Confederacy. Yes suh

  12. Have you tried reading or posting news without the political stigmatism in your eyes?

  13. He’ll either try to kill it anyway, or take full credit for it.

  14. Yea right lol, everything that old loser touches turns to crap, this will be no different

  15. The point isn’t to stop a boom if it happens naturally, it’s to not have the government pay for it, saying this will happen because of companies funding it and actually betting their own money on it and not because the government is footing the bill and rewarding incompetence is the ideal outcome.

  16. Sauce for the goose

Does everybody remember operation warp speed? When Donald Trump saved the world by bringing the first COVID vaccine to the world?

You probably forgot because they waited until a week after the election to announce it. C’est la vie.

  17. Has Trump said he doesn’t want EVs?

As far as I know he’s only said he doesn’t t want government subsidies.

  18. Country before self. Something maga will never understand.

  19. Republican party is not really against the batteries. Texas is going to be the biggest one in next few years. They don’t want government to spend subsidies

  20. Evs are trash. The power battery life, and charge time are all awful. And cold weather kills the battery. The average person will never get an ev vehicle.

  21. Another waste of money, Car manufacturers are already discounting their EV cars and trucks

  22. Why would Trump not want this? Elon has a number one EV cars in the world. There is plenty enough room in this world for both and then some. As bad as the news would want us to believe that we’re at each other’s throats, this is something we all agree on, we need better batteries and distance of travel, we need ease of access to plugins and readily available at our own houses and businesses and not sitting in some plug-in stations for 3 hours, For god sakes get those people involved, that’s where your car is going to be sitting the most. Endless face it, they’re too damned expensive, the new Dodge is coming out at $140,000 !!!! Come on man, make something in the $50,000 or $35,000 range…
