We have to acknowledge that a lot of the people who have opinions on the economy and workers’ wages, are so removed from reality that they think life is currently affordable.
I just realised right wing manosphere movement promotes actually being more slave to the system than escaping the “matrix “.
I just wonder why is it so hard for some one to force them to live on a 20hr salary for a month
You’re making $20/hr working fast-food
Gonna stop you right there chief…
Jesse Waters, or, the most punchable face on television.
The system is unjust and it’s an insult to the intelligence of the American people and their lived experience
Fuck Jesse Waters. He’s the sorriest wannabe Cucker Tarlson.
Won’t somebody think of the billionaires!
Car payment? Seems like if I made $20/hr I wouldn’t have a car payment.
That’s just brutal in so many ways, but I think especially for the college graduates who have invested time, money, and energy on an education and end up financially worse off than fast food workers, who have a 4 year head start and then more take-home pay to boot.
This is why college and health care should be covered under the umbrella of a social program. Then $20 per hour might actually work…
There is such a disconnect between actual wages and what it costs to just survive in america. This trajectory we are on is not sustainable. We need to see a major increase in wages or a collapse in asset prices.
a lot of grads struggle for awhile. Hasnt changed much . I had roommates for like 6 years after grad
Politics aside. Jesse Waters thinks $20/hour is six figures.
That’s embarrassingly bad mathematics.
Every time I see him now I’ll remember that he can’t do simple math and has never been in a business leadership position where he would have learned how to account for wages. Shockingly dumb.
I have to stop you right there at the beginning. You think this rich guy isn’t smart enough to do such a calculation? He just doesn’t care. You wasting your time discussing it. He just wants to push his narrative that it’s your fault.
