jrm.is a right wing extremist who would put us in workhouses to protect his interests. I agree he uses the media as propaganda especially with GB news. He is not a loveable eccentric tv celebrity, he’s a threat to social justice and cohesion.
Why do we keep seeing so much of the Haunted pencil recently?
The haunted Victorian pencil does not care about anyone who cannot do something for him. He happily campaigned for Brexit but also moved his company’s office to Dublin after the vote because of tax laws in Ireland that benefited him personally. He wants fewer workers’ rights and a return to traditional values because it means he can do what he wants with impugnity and without criticism from others. He is nothing more than a calculating, callous Dickensian caricature who turns off Muppets Christmas Carol before Scrooge has his change of heart, because he finds it too unbelievable.
The media excels at amplifying the voices of extreme right-wing politicians like Jacob Rees-Mogg and Nigel Farage, while simultaneously depicting anyone even slightly to the left of Tony Blair as a fusion of Joseph Stalin and Beelzebub
I find it amazing this Victorian cosplaying helmet actually got a TV series.

Bullshit. People like him get more media coverage than even the primeminister. You never see news stories when a left wing politician says anything.
I think the problem is more that some very privileged people in the media want to paint those boring, middle of the road politicians as something more exciting or even scary to create division and push their agenda. Then we start seeing violence against politicians which only leads to loss of freedom for the rest of us.
Fun Fact: Annunziata Rees-Mogg is named after Gabriel D’Anunnzio, early C20th Italian proto-Corporatist, pseudo-fascist, and general all round weirdo who ‘captured’ the port of Fiume at the end of WWI with the hope of offering it as a gift to King Victor Emanuelle II. The King roundly rejected D’Anunnzio’s highly illegal and quite frankly insane venture, so D’Annunzio renamed the territory The Duchy of Carnaro, and ruled it for a few years as a quasi-Corporatist tyrant until the occupied pseudo-nation collapsed in corruption and ignominy, D’Anunnzio fleeing in rude disgrace and making The League of Nations clean up his mess.

Our media in the UK is owned by large Tory donors and right wing advocates. Is it any wonder they look to placate the common unwashed with the likes of Matt Hancock on I’m a Celebrity?
He caused the deaths of thousands of people unnecessarily, he gave a contract to his pub landlord for PPE production which risked lives and caused mountains of debt and environmental waste. He had an affair with his secretary while going on the news ordering us to keep apart. Then he got caught lying about it all.
Then after that, he’s on I’m a Celebrity, prattling on about some shitty book he’s writing, it’s a chance for his party donors to humanise him, make him seem fallible, like he just made a mistake. And the sad fact is it worked. I literally heard a pair of muppets having a post work pint going “huhuhuh he’s alright actually that Hancock isn’t he”.
Yet Labour just have to make one tiny error of judgement, or deliver a promise slightly too slowly, or even nothing wrong at all, and it’s an endless campaign of propaganda calling for their heads on sticks.
It frankly boils my piss.
We’re a right-wing, Conservative country. Anyone who’s centre left who gets anywhere near power gets labelled a communist.

right wing control over all types of media is ironclad at the moment, of course they are trying to humanise JRM, wouldn’t surprise if the moves to oust Kemi are afoot just in time to run JRM as a jolly japes man of the people on the way into the next election.
