Isn’t ALL football club ownership in the Premier League (and other leagues) just a form a money laundering? I just naturally assumed it was – why else would foreign billionaires suddenly have such an interest in a club (and/or sport) in which they hitherto had no interest?
I assumed it would become clear, maybe it a few decades yet, that the whole thing (including transfers etc) has always been an illegal scam.
I am fine with this. In fact I am fine with all football clubs going bust. All sport going bust, if it helps stop a war.
