  1. Dad was a UVF commander and cousin murdered a Celtic fan.

A party of violent racist extremists and set to become a major force in the Scottish Parliament in a year-and-a-half if we don’t do something about it. We need a concerted campaign to expose these people.

  2. I won’t lie it does make me uncomfortable that the guys crimes is being born into the wrong family.

The sins of the father shouldn’t be placed in the son.

At work we need to get security clearance, I’ve seen too many young ones that this terrifies because they have a family member that wasn’t a good person. Some of them sabotage or stall their careers by refusing to get clearance, even the ones that do get SC it still causes them a hell of a lot of anxiety.

And it’s usually working class people and/or people from disadvantaged backgrounds that are affected by it (case and point this guy)

  3. This isn’t right, and I’m speaking as someone who’s as far removed from this guy’s family’s politics as it’s possible to be.

He’s been effectively banned from taking part in normal politics because of actions that his family, not himself, have taken decades ago.

Participation in politics is important and keeps people away from engaging in extremism, it is ridiculous that he’s made an attempt to involve himself in normal discourse and he’s been effectively told he has to pay for the sins of others.

Now let’s compare this to Ireland at the moment, in the north they have a First Minister, Michelle O’ Neill, and a deputy First Minister, Emma Little-Pengelly.

Both of them have extremely close family members who were seriously involved in paramilitary activity, including gun running, bombings and assassinations.

On opposite sides of the conflict I might add.

Yet they are being praised for their ability to work together and embrace each other’s cultural beliefs while still representing their voters.

Showing that history and differences need not define the future.

What happened to this man is wrong, he’s been crucified by the media for a cheap story and his party hasn’t stood by him.

  4. Well I guess reform has now carried out their due diligence and he his deemed a significant risk to their party 🤷‍♂️

  5. You shouldn’t be banned from participating in politics because of the views or actions of your family.

From the article, which is very badly written, it looks like he was actually banned for racist messaging on facebook. Not because of his family connections.

  6. Absolutely mate, i think they should all be criticised the exact same, as with any political party (see the drug dealing brother in law of Humza Yousef SNP).

The difference is, only in my opinion btw, the choice of affiliate ideals which, in politics is difficult, as they’re mostly all morally bankrupt but some more than others.

The only issue I have is the comment regarding his choices.

SNP are the ONLY pro-independant party.

He had at least 3 MAJOR party’s to choose from and I just don’t buy the working class man upset with tory/labour so only choice is reform.

Folk choose reform because it allows them to unashamedly align with far right beliefs under the guise of looking out for the forgotten UK white working man.

Farage et al couldn’t give a shit about working class as they’ve proven time and again and are the most reprehensible strokers of division whilst sitting atop their golden shitcan and sadly anyone who supports them knows fine well their playbook.

This guy could’ve stood for any party and been criticised the same but HE CHOSE to stand for a far right group as his connections chose to act in a sectarian violent manner.
I dont think there’s much room for coincidence left.
