In the third quarter of 2024, the nominal value of loans to the domestic private sector serviced by domestic CSFs that have been transferred to non-resident specialised financial institutions increased by 1,012 million euros, according to figures released by the Bank of Greece on Wednesday.
The total value of loans serviced by domestic and foreign CSFs increased to 70,780 million euros at the end of the second quarter of 2024, from 69,768 million euros in the previous quarter.
Corporate loans
The nominal value of serviced corporate loans increased to 23,156 million euros in the third quarter of 2024, from 22,788 million euros the previous quarter. In further detail, the nominal value of loans to non-financial corporations (NFCs) increased by 367 million euros to 23,117 million euros at the end of the third quarter of 2024. Out of the total of these loans to NFCs, an amount of 11,101 million euros corresponds to loans to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
The nominal value of loans to other financial institutions serviced by CSFs increased by 1 million euros at the end of the third quarter of 2024.

Loans to sole proprietors, farmers and unincorporated partnerships
The nominal value of loans to sole proprietors, farmers and unincorporated partnerships serviced by CSFs increased by 313 million euros from the previous quarter to 9,410 million euros at the end of the third quarter of 2024.
Loans to individuals and private non-profit institutions
The nominal value of loans to individuals and private non-profit institutions serviced by CSFs increased by 331 million euros to 38,214 million euros at the end of the third quarter of 2024. In further detail, consumer loans serviced increased by 123 million euros to 15,760 million euros. The corresponding housing loans increased by 209 million euros to 22,165 million euros.
