With advent calendars nearing their last few doors, it is truly time to get the festive food shop in.
If you haven’t got the turkey and veg sorted, or want some last minute booze for Santa, you may be wondering when are where you can get it.
Luckily, you still have time, and Aldi, Lidl, and Iceland will all be open until Christmas Eve to get the trolley dash done.
Many shops will have different opening hours over the festive period, however, so it is always worth checking online before heading out in that biting Christmas blizzard (well, we can still hope for a White Christmas at least).
But when will Aldi, Lidl, and Iceland be open over Christmas?
What are Aldi’s opening hours at Christmas?

Aldi Christmas opening times
Christmas Eve: 7am – 6pm
Christmas Day: CLOSED
Boxing Day: CLOSED
December 27 and 28: 8am – 8pm
December 29: 9.30am – 4.30pm
December 30: 8am – 8pm
New Year’s Eve: 8am – 6pm
New Year’s Day: CLOSED
Customers should check the details for their local store online to be sure on the Aldi website.
And if you want to get there without battling trolley gridlock, the supermarket said between 8pm and 10pm is typically the quietest time for festive shopping.

Lidl Christmas opening times
The supermarket chain will be closed on Christmas Day but you can check your local opening hours on Lidl’s website.
Christmas Eve: 8am – 8pm (an hour earlier than normal)
Christmas Day: CLOSED
Boxing Day: Most stores CLOSED but some open, particularly in London and Wales (check online)
New Year’s Day: CLOSED
Customers can check their local store’s opening hours on the online store finder or through the Lidl Plus app.
Lidl said that typically, the busiest times in store are around lunchtime, with the highest levels of footfall between 12pm and 2pm. Quieter times are between 8am and 10am, or from 6pm onwards.
What are Iceland’s opening hours at Christmas?

Christmas Eve: Open as usual (times vary between Scotland, Northern Ireland, Wales, England and London).
Christmas Day: CLOSED
Boxing Day: Some stores, mainly in London, open from 9am and closing between 5pm and 9pm.
