After buying an EV, less than 1% of drivers go back to gas-powered cars. EV drivers are overwhelmingly more likely to stick with an electric rather than return to a gas-powered car according to a new study. The biggest factor behind the decision is the lower operating costs (45%).

More fun to drive, quieter, can charge off my solar system, adequate range for all but a couple trips/year on a single charge. Just got an Ioniq 5 last month and am unable to find a single downside to driving an EV.
EVs do require a little bit of re-adapting given that one drives them a little differently. That paired with home charging, why would anyone want to go back?
Simpler, right? No/less plumbing for fluids. Is there still coolant required for anything? I suppose there’s still front window washer fluid. Do brake pads last longer on EVs, with/assuming regenerative braking? What else is engineered away with EVs?
Biggest downside to my EV is that a megalomaniac owns the company.
