Only sharing as I'd have thought it would garner a bit more attention – one of the DJ's from BBC radio Somerset is doing a full week locked in a house in the run up to Christmas until he can guess his way out?
Nobody I know seems to know it's happening and it currently seems to have below twenty viewers so I guess I feel a bit bad given the amount of effort he's gone to! Think one of those mid-00's TV events with David Blaine or something except with a local radio DJ and you've about got the measure of why I don't understand the lack off attention especially when it's the beeb running it?
Anyway, you can watch it here – https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/c1lnj9v08l0t

It doesn’t really mean anything post covid, we were all locked inside for months
>why I don’t understand the lack off attention especially when it’s the beeb running it?
Maybe because Greg James on R1 has done the same thing umpteen times in recent years.
I don’t mean to put a downer on it, but having read through now, it is pretty dry and unimaginative.
>’Was this sound recorded in Wookey Hole?’.
>Santa’s response was a little cryptic – he replied ‘you’re getting warmer – but the snow around the lodge isn’t melting yet’.
>Interesting…
And I say that as someone who fondly remembers growing up to the provincial concerns of my (neighbouring) local West Country BBC Radio station.
I can think of many DJs who should be locked up for a lot longer than a week.
Maybe because local radio attracts older people who don’t use social media as much so it never goes viral
So right now it’s a man noone knows wandering around in a living room then in the morning he gets a clue to something or other on a local radio show? Wonder why it isn’t doing gangbusters?
Been following this for days, proper exciting its like prime big brother!
Trying to get me to pay a TV license. Nice try Mr BBC haha
He’s just walking around like a trapped animal

Ah, and that’ll mean I need a TV license?
No thank you, BBC.
Yewtree was it?
That’s nothing, Terry Wogan has been locked in a box for 8 years !
