  1. > “Father of the Bride” and “According to Jim” actor Kimberly Williams-Paisley revealed to People magazine that she could not speak for two years due to a partial paralysis of her left vocal cord, which forced her to to turn down acting roles. Williams-Paisley had surgery in August to correct the health issue after two years of feeling “invisible.” The vocal cord paralysis left her unable to speak louder than a whisper and “I felt trapped in my own body.”

    > “There were days when I grieved and sobbed,” Williams-Paisley said about the two years she spent in near silence. “I wondered, ‘Who am I without my voice?’”

  2. Well yeah, talking is a pretty important part of the job.

Outside of that life must have been extremely challenging not being able to speak.

  3. I swear I was just wondering whatever happened to her. She was on this “edgy” show called Relativity that I used to secretly watch when my parents weren’t home because it was just what my young teenage mind needed (basically a gritty “being in your 20s in NY” kinda show). Everyone was really hot.

  4. That sounds like a nightmare, but liberating if you have a moment to sit with yourself and see the situation your in.
