LAWTON, Okla. (KSWO) – If you’re looking for a way to enhance your digital skills the place to be is the Lawton Public Library.
On Dec. 18, and on Dec. 19, the Friends of the Lawton Public Library are offering free digital skills training.
Those who are new to using a computer can learn things such as using web browsers, password creation, mobile device navigation and more!
Members of the organization say offering classes such as these are important for members of the community.
“Nowadays a lot of jobs want you fill out applications online,” said Library associate, Garret Harris. “Along way sending emails to specific people or friends or trying to get pictures downloaded and send this some one else through email so we trying to get people more tech litter with it so they can do it own things instead of ask family member or come to the library and specifically ask us to do for them.”
With a grant from AT&T the library is able to provide more digital skills classes for those who need them.
