1. Same thing happened in my office. We want everyone back in the office! We don’t know where everyone is going to sit!

2. Its called soft firing this happened a year ago in my company. They said we all had to return to the office and if you didn’t you would no longer have a job. This reduced staff by 20% and they never rehired. They offered no severance because people quit vs being terminated. Senior Manager got big props for saving the company millions of dollars.

   RTO is about reducing headcount

4. Fully intentional. But if it were me…I’d just find a desk that happens to be open…if that happens to be the CEO’s…oops…
