Hi so me and this girl are off on a date, (17 and 19) I’m not German however I’ve sent her flowers because it’s long distance. I then proceeded to see that it’s weird to do that in Germany? Then I found out I sent flowers that are meant for funerals??? I mean this is the meaning here where I am and it’s like super common to get each other white roses but yeah turns out I should research that but like is it insulting?

  1. I doubt she would think anything mean of it. White roses are usually associated here with purity (or a pure and innocent love) though. At least don’t send her chrysanthemums because they are well known funeral flowers. She probably thinks it is cute that you sent her flowers but more common flowers for lovers would be red roses or forget me nots
