The oral health initiative continues, with WHO Romania supporting the Public Health Directorate (DSP) in Iasi County with its oral health campaign in schools across the county.
WHO Romania donated emergency medical equipment in the value of USD 400,000 to the DSU. H.E during an official handover ceremony on 15 Nov, with H.E. US Ambassador Kathleen Kavalec, DSU Director Dr Raed Arafat and WR delivering opening remarks.
WHO Romania organised an in-person working group meeting for Health and MHPSS RRP partners to review 2024 achievements and gaps and conduct a working session on contingency and preparedness planning.
A roundtable dedicated to the Global Day of Action for the Elimination of Cervical Cancer brought together (inter)national experts, policymakers, and health advocates with the aim to advance evidence-based interventions, HPV vaccination, and screening efforts.
