I can’t deal with the pretentious coffee shops of Dublin…

  1. As America and Russia fuel up their nuclear missiles, its good to know that “the lighthearted lemon pastries match well with the new Brazilian roast coffee”.

    (rolls eyes, heavy sigh)

  2. A lot of the “nicer” independent coffee shops have been getting worse and worse at customer service tbh, more and more up their own holes.

  3. Coffee should be served around 70-80c. Ideal is usually 78c (same as the evaporation point of alcohol.)

I don’t know what temp you got it but I’d suggest that when your buying a cup of joe from a gourmet coffee shop mention you want it extra hot. I say this as my mother like it around the same temp as tea, 85-95c.

They really aren’t being pretentious there bud, you made a statement and they offered a rebuttal. If they implied you didn’t know about coffee they’d be pretentious.

  4. I mean, Picard has to order his tea, earl grey, hot out of a replicator so why shouldn’t a human barista have to be told the exact same thing for the coffee they’re overcharging for…
