   Did he actually give her the letter. She’s 5 ffs.

9. I had go re-read that, she’s 5? Wtf are the courts doing targeting a 5 year old, when there’s loads of other shit they need to tackle right now, but aren’t for one reason or another

10. Mistakes can be made sending the fine to a kid and that can be reversed with no great harm done. However- someone lied that they actually witnessed the girl dropping the packaging. That to me is a bigger deal. They are trying to take money from a member of the public for an offence that they lied about having eye witness confirmation of from a uniformed enforcement officer.

    Whoever lied should be fired for gross misconduct.

    Instead, as usual in the public sector, they will circle the wagons, claim that lessons will be learnt and procedures updated – and nothing will happen. The person who lied about an offence that could have cost a family quite a lot of money will likely face zero consequences.
